2023 High Pass Late Harvest Huxelrebe
I was dazzled by the Sauternes-like qualities of this late harvest wine. Dried apricots and honeycomb hit the nose first, followed by a pineapple gelato and ginger wave. Rich, sweet baked apple and spun sugar flavors are joined by wee bits of orange peel and cinnamon. The Huxelrebe feels rich and round on the palate, without feeling too viscous. There's also a nice bit of acidity.
